Welcome to the Cooper-Young Community Project for SWRK 7022 at University of Memphis!
Our project was designed to
increase our skills in identifying and assessing social issues which exist
within a community and the community’s assets and capacities to respond to
those specific issues.
We worked together in a
group to gather data about Cooper Young, including its demographics,
strengths/resources and challenges.
We then defined an issue or challenge that
Cooper-Young would like to address based on this information, and taking on the
role of organizers, made suggestions as to how to resolve this issue.
